We are delighted to welcome Robbie Gibb, Director of Communications from No.10 Downing Street.
Robbie has been involved with the Conservative Party since the 1980s, when he first worked at Conservative Central Office, as an advisor to frontbencher Francis Maude. He is a firm brexiteer - well-connected across the Conservatives and UKIP, as well as being charismatic and good fun.
Prior to taking on his current role at No.10, he was at the BBC for 23 years, where he was deputy editor of Newsnight, editor of Daily Politics and later of the Andrew Marr show.
In his capacity as the Prime Minister’s Head of Communications, he oversees all of No.10’s media operations, controlling the weekly news grid and messaging coming out of No.10. [He recently worked on the Prime Minister’s contribution to the Panorama documentary on Brexit and has been tasked with helping ensure Brexiteer MPs back the Prime Minister’s proposals for leaving the EU].
