Friday 8th June 2018 marked a joint celebration and anniversary of Skipton Conservative Ladies Luncheon Club celebrating their 35th year and Coniston Hotel celebrating it’s 20th anniversary. The Ladies were welcomed by a drinks reception & canapes followed by a celebratory lunch at Coniston Hotel.
This special occasion was marked by guest speakers Nick Bannister, our MP and Chief Whip The Right Honourable Julian Smith, and former MP’s David Curry and John Watson.
Pat spoke of the history how the Ladies Lunch Club which started on the 21st September 1983 where twenty four ladies met for a buffet lunch at Otley Street, Skipton, cost per head £3.00. The guest speaker was John Watson M.P. and from this date the ladies luncheon club was formed.
In 1999 the Ladies had their first luncheon meeting at Coniston and a partnership would span for 20 years to come. She continued thanks must go to the Bannister Family for all their kindness and generosity over the years, and to Louise Bolton who has accommodated the Luncheon events so well.
Pat Revill has been the Chairman of the Ladies Luncheon Club since 2014, and previously secretary since 2008. To date she has organised 37 speakers and raised over £7000 for the Association, the luncheon club now has over 100 members and a list of fun and interesting events through out the year.
